Preventive Maintenance

To help retain the value of your heating and cooling system and keep it running smoothly when you need it the most we ensure reliable performance and extend the life of your furnace, A/C. and water heater with our residential preventive maintenance program!

Our goal is to prevent major breakdowns by identifying the normal wear and tear problems before they cause an unexpected loss of comfort.

Basic Protection

$19.83/Mo. per system*

  • Includes one furnace tune up, one A/C tune up & visual inspection of standard water heater
  • Discounted $69 service call fees (normal hours)
  • $50 discount on emergency service call fee
  • 10% discount on Parts
  • 10% off of labor (normal and emergency)
  • 10% off of Filters and Humidifier pads
  • $50 credit toward new equipment for each consecutive year signed up.

*A system is one furnace, humidifier and AC.

  • Inspect and clean blower motor assembly.
  • Lubricate motor, inspect and replace fan belt if needed.
  • Check combustion blower housing for debris as necessary.
  • Inspect evaporator coil, drain pan, and condensate drain lines. Clean as needed.
  • Inspect for gas leaks in gas furnaces.
  • Inspect burner assembly and ignition system. Clean and adjust as necessary.
  • Inspect heat exchanger or heating elements.
  • Inspect flue piping - check for proper attachment to furnace, any dislocation sections, and for signs of corrosion.
  • Inspect control box, associated controls, wiring, and connections.
  • Clean air filters. Replacement filter will be and additional cost.
  • Inspect conditioned airflow system (duct work) - check for leaks.
  • WHILE YOUR SYSTEM IS OPERATING: Monitor system starting characteristics and capabilities. Listen for noise, search for unusual odors.

  • Inspect unit for proper refrigerant level. Additional refrigerant will be an extra cost.
  • Clean dirat, leaves, and debris, from inside the cabinet.
  • Inspect base pan for restricted drain openings - remove obstructions as necessary.
  • Inspect coil and cabinet - clean as needed.
  • Inspect fan motor and fan blades for wear and damage - lubricate as needed.
  • Inspect control box, associated controls/accessories, wiring, and connections. Controls may include contactors, relays, circuit boards, capacitors, sump pump, and other accessories. All control box and electrical parts should be checked for water damage.
  • Inspect compressor and associated tubing for damage.

  • Includes standard atmospheric tanks only.
  • Visual inspection of unit.
  • Clean burner assembly. Pilot, and sensors.
  • Tankless water heaters are not included in Preventative Maintenance Program. Inspection of a tankless water heater is an additional $140.

McCarver Mechanical Heating & Cooling agrees to perform the above mentioned services, contingent upon the following:

  1. Equipment must be in working condition before accepted under contract. Any repairs required to restore equipment to manufacturer, state, and local codes will be at standard, non-contract rates.
  2. Contract must be paid in full, if annual, upon receipt of invoice or in good standing of monthly payments. If monthly payments are late, services will be suspended.
  3. Customer agrees that only authorized McCarver Mechanical heating & Cooling technicians will provide service on the covered equipment during the time of the contract. If any other person or company services the covered equipment during the term of the contract, the contract will be null and void and the customer will not be eligible for any refund.
  4. If recommended repairs are refused, such refusal voids the offer of discounted or zero cost service calls on subsequent repairs.
  5. Initial term of the Preventative Maintenance Program in one (1) year from the contract date. Coverage will renew automatically each year on the anniversary of the contract date unless: (i) you have given McCarver Mechanical Heating & Cooling written notice no later than 14 days before the renewal date that your coverage will not be renewed.
  6. Maintenance appointments will be scheduled by McCarver Mechanical Heating & Cooling Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, based on scheduling availability and customer convenience during coverage year. Premium Protection customers will receive priority scheduling for all services.
  7. Service calls must be performed during regular business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-8pm. Premium Protection customers will receive discounted rates for emergency calls after 8pm.
  8. This plan is fully transferable to subsequent owners or can be transferred to your new home.
  9. Contract is non-refundable.
  10. Parts not covered under this agreement include, but are not limited to: heat exchangers and compressors.

NOTE: Upon submission of your request to sign up for Preventive Maintenance services, McCarver Mechanical Heating & Cooling will contact you to complete the sign-up process. At that time, we will request the following information or schedule a time to visit your residence to collect this information: Furnace Model #, Furnace Serial #, A/C Model, A/C Serial #, Filter Size, Humidifier Pad (or Model #).
