I was called to a home to perform maintenance on a steam boiler. The boiler was not producing enough heat, and the customer was concerned that it would not be able to heat the home. I arrived at the home and inspected the boiler. I found that the boiler was not producing enough heat because the pilot light was not lit. I lit the pilot light and then checked the pressure and temperature of the boiler. The pressure was low, and the temperature was too low. I adjusted the pressure and temperature and then tested the boiler again. The boiler was now producing enough heat to heat the home. The customer was very happy with the service and thanked me for my help.

Finished a Fujitsu Air Handler/Heat Pump Installation on Grosse Pointe, Mi.

I was called to inspect a residential air handler that was not working properly. Upon arrival, I observed that the unit was not producing any heat or air conditioning. I checked the electrical connections and found that one of the wires had come loose. I repaired the wire and tested the unit again. The air handler now produced heat and air conditioning. I tested the unit again to ensure it was working properly. I then cleaned the unit and made sure it was operating at peak efficiency.

Performed a residential furnace tune-up, including cleaning the burners, checking the ignition system, and adjusting the thermostat. Also, checked the air filter and replaced it if necessary.

Today, we had a bosch heat pump install paired with a high-pressure unico air handler. Another quality install by your friendly McCarver Technicians.

Clear the condensate drain on an evaporator by removing the drain pan, unscrewing the drain plug, and draining the water into a bucket. Then, use a wet/dry vacuum to remove any remaining water from the drain pan and evaporator coil. Finally, screw the drain plug back into place and replace the drain pan.
